BRENT MOREL IS THE BEST #2 HITTER IN BASEBALL

I'm lying of course. It was always my understanding that the best hitters were supposed to hit near the top of the lineup. It was also my understanding thet the two hitter was supposed to be a solid contact hitter who gets on base a lot. Well, in case you were wondering, Morel is neither of those. He has currently struck out 15 times in 34 at-bats, not the best ratio unless your Adam Dunn, and his on base percentage is .167, also not good unless your a pitcher (and a poor hitting pitcher). Robin Ventura's justification for batting him second is that he's a good bunter, which is like starting a pitcher because he has a great pick-off move to second base.
